The word comes from the ancient Sanskrit writings and translates in English to &#8220;royal union.&#8221; This basically means a union of the body and mind.</p>

<p>The ancient text that gives the basis for it is the Yoga Sutras of Patanjali. This ancient text is made up of four books written over 2000 years ago. These books are the Sadhana Pada, Samadhi Pada, Kaivalya Pada and the Vibhuti Pada. The Sadhana Pada is where the physical pieces of yoga are to be found.</p>
<p>In this book, you will learn of the &#8220;eight limbs.&#8221; The limbs referred to here at in essence steps known as Ashtanga yoga. The first five limbs deal with the external and the remaining three are about the internal. Of the first five, the third is Asana and is all about the physical body. Its main idea is that the body needs to be kept disease-free and have a maintenance of energy. It is this book from which people in the west have learned of yoga and transformed it into its modernized, western form.</p>
<p>Asana is simply the plural from of the word asan which means posture or body position. The purpose of asana is to make improvements in vitality and flexibility and to promote meditation. Proponents of asana believe that doing the various positions opens the channels for physical and psychic energy in the human body. Any positions practiced should be held firmly and steadily while remaining comfortable.</p>
<p>This means that there should be no physical pain while in any of the positions. There are several poses that a person practicing the discipline may strike. These range from beginner poses to a more advanced level of positions.</p>
<p>No matter what your level of expertise is, there are a few fundamental concepts to always keep in mind. Any exercises should be done on an empty stomach. Your body should never quiver or shake because of too much pressure or force being exerted. It is important to always keep controlled breathing-no do hold your breath or gasp. Most of the time you want to do <a href="http://www.extremefitness.ca/yoga">yoga</a> on a mat and not the floor. At the end of each session, you will want to spend some time maintaining a state of deep relaxation.</p>
<p>Poses vary in their execution. Some are done seated while others are performed standing, lying on your back, balanced against another object or with the back bent. Poses are generally classified as beginner, intermediate and advanced. Beginners may start with the Downward Facing Dog, The Pyramid or the Standing Forward Bend. These are standing positions. Some seated poses for beginners are the Cobbler&#8217;s Pose, Seated Wide Legged Straddle and Half Lord of the Fishes.</p>
<p>Again, yoga is more than just getting into a certain position. It is an entire philosophy that centers around not only tangible needs but spiritual well being as well. In fact, the first limb of the Sutras teaches the virtues of nonviolence, truth in thought and word and celibacy for the unmarried and monogamy for the married.</p>

<p>So, without further ado, here are 5 mistakes women make with their nutrition when losing weight:</p>
<p>1. Not eating before training: Not only does food give you energy before exercising, but it also helps you burn more fat! Although counterintuitive, it&#8217;s the truth. The key here is to have a low glycemic load snack before training-you have to stay away from simple sugars.</p>
<p>2. Not eating right after exercising: One of the best ways to recover as quickly as possible from exercise is to eat right after. And if you recover quicker you can exercise more frequently. So don&#8217;t let more than thirty minutes go by before you eat.</p>
<p>3. Substituting meals with protein bars and shakes: The best food for weight loss is that which digests the slowest, there is no way around this. And whole food will always digest slower than protein bars or shakes. Furthermore, many protein bars pack more calories and sugar than a snickers!</p>
<p>4. Trusting everything that&#8217;s on a label: Labels can be manipulated to many ends. Even worse, there are many loopholes within FDA regulations that allow food companies to make some extremely deceiving claims. Even worse than that, a lot of the charts and graphs that supplement companies put in advertisements are baked.</p>
<p>5. Using exercise as an excuse to eat everything under the sun: This is more of a psychological issue and it has destroyed the hopes of countless women. Just because you exercise does not mean you can eat everything you want. Keep in mind that a single meal at a restaurant can have the amount of calories you should be eating for the entire day.</p>
<p>There is no perfect way to diet for weight loss. And expect to make many mistakes on your journey. The key here is to not get frustrated and course correct as quickly as possible.</p>

<p>Luckily for you, I&#8217;ve already sifted through all the nonsense and I know what works. And I want to show you what I&#8217;ve learned.</p>
<p>Thus, here are some nutrition tips for arm fat loss:</p>
<p><b>1. Load up on fat.</b> Seriously! Dietary fat will increase the levels of arm fat burning hormones in your body. And make sure you have saturated fat. Despite what you&#8217;ve been told, saturated fat is GOOD for you. Coconut is my favorite choice here.</p>
<p><b>2. Become a water grazer.</b> If you only drink water when you&#8217;re eating, you&#8217;re missing out big time. You have to drink in between meals. Why? Because you become dehydrated during these gaps. Moreover, if you have lots of water in one sitting, you&#8217;re more likely to urinate it out.</p>
<p><b>3. Have some caffeine.</b> A little caffeine about an hour before working out will work wonders. Not only will it make the firing of your muscle fibers faster, but it will also increase your pain threshold. Just make sure that you don&#8217;t take caffeine later in the day as this will prevent you from sleeping well.</p>
<p><b>4. Load up on Ceylon cinnamon.</b> Put Ceylon cinnamon on as many meals as you can, especially the bigger ones. Why? Because Ceylon cinnamon is loaded with antioxidants and increases insulin sensitivity. And better insulin sensitivity translates into more calories going to active tissues while arm fat starves and disintegrates.</p>
<p>The most important element here is to take ACTION on this advice. Most women read something and NEVER take action. Information is only as useful as the amount of action you take on it. So if you want to finally get rid of that arm fat, include these tips and tricks in your daily routine!</p>

<p>Fruits and vegetables contain a lot of important nutrients required by the body. At the same time, they contain very less amount of calories. So you will be getting nutrition without consuming many calories.</p>
<p>They are best eaten raw. A good tip is to eat a lot of salad with each meal. Another way of consuming more fruits and vegetables is to make juice from them (preferably without or with very little sugar) and drink the juices at regular intervals.</p>

<p>Earlier this year, I ended up spending a lot of time indoors after I lost my job, and I ended up gaining 30 pounds in about 8 months. I couldn&#8217;t believe this, as I had never weighed this much before in my life.</p>
<p>From there, I tried to figure out what was going on. I wasn&#8217;t really eating any differently, and I guess it was just the gradual buildup of burning a few less calories every day.</p>
<p>Lucky for me, I&#8217;ve disciplined myself and find myself much lighter than I was just a few short months ago? You may be wondering how I&#8217;ve done it, and it isn&#8217;t nearly as hard as you might think.</p>
<p>First and foremost, I decided that drinking soda simply wasn&#8217;t a good idea. Even a diet soda isn&#8217;t good for you, as the artificial chemicals and sweeteners are said to have a negative effect on the body.</p>
<p>I didn&#8217;t stop at sodas though. I decided to eliminate any foods from my diet that had cane sugar or artificial sweeteners. I would get my sweet fix from fruits, and I really came to enjoy them.</p>
<p>Next, I make it a point to run at least 4 times weekly. I really try for 5 or 6 when I can, but 4 should do the job, especially if you aim for a faster speed each time.</p>
<p>The last thing I decided to do was replace all fried and sauteed foods with grilled and baked ones. This was difficult, but like any habit, I became used to it after a few weeks. I have a great body to show for it now, and I never plan to go back to the dark side.</p>
<p>While I still haven&#8217;t found a job, I&#8217;ve been writing about <a href="http://copper-mailbox.org/">copper mailbox</a> deals and <a href="http://copper-mailbox.org/brass-mailboxes/">brass mailboxes</a>.</p>
