Having completed Day 16 on the HCG diet means that I’m more than halfway through the low calorie portion of the diet. It’s a pretty exciting landmark in the course of the diet, I think. It started off with 2 loading days (during which I ate tons of fatty foods). The loading days are intended to accelerate the rate at which the body absorbs the HCG. Then I started the next 23 days of low calorie dieting (500 calories)! This is a personal choice. The lengths of the programs vary.

Happy Thanksgiving to you all! My Thanksgiving went wonderfully even though I’m on the HCG Diet. But then I’m on the second day of my HCG diet which means that Thanksgiving was a loading day for me. I got to enjoy all the high calorie, fatty foods prevalent on Thanksgiving without messing up my dedication to follow the HCG protocol for weight loss.

I like the sound of the HCG diet so far. I’ve just started posting daily articles of my progress as I research, plan and then actually DO the HCG diet. At first I thought I should probably look into HCG diet clinics. What I noticed was that there wasn’t one convenient to my home. I was supposed to be there daily. And I was supposed to pay to be there daily. (I hate paying for office visits!)

If you’re wondering if the above mention of HCG Diet Direct’s 500 calorie diet is a misprint you aren’t alone. Many people question the validity of a 500 calorie diet program because they just don’t think anyone can actually limit themselves to that amount of food and still function. So just to keep you interested let’s point out that if you were able to stick to a 500 calorie diet…you’d lose A LOT of weight. Do you imagine yourself swimming daily, but have never been able to get yourself to buy a swimsuit? Do you dream of participating in a marathon, but struggle to get your tennis shoes tied because you just can’t reach?
