Canker sores are small ulcers that appear in the mouth and is sometimes painful and aggravating making it very tough to talk and eat. They generally look white or yellow and there is usually a bright red portion that surrounds the sore alone. Canker sores come in two kinds namely: the simple canker sores are the ones that affect individuals that are between the ages of 10-20, those last for a week and occurs three to four times a year. The other type is the complex canker sore, it is not really common and only happen to people who have previously had them. Canker sores are usually located at the inner parts of the lips, the internal lining of the cheeks, gums and the tongue.
