The basis of this diet is that you consume as few carbs as possible, so that your body will have to go to the stored fat cells and get rid of those, thus allowing you to lose weight quickly and easily. There are many different food ideas that you can incorporate into this diet, which is great, because then you have lots of variety and will not have to turn to fatty or high in sugar foods when you get hungry or get a craving. Low Carb Diet Example #1: Scrambled Eggs Eggs are great because they are a fantastic source of protein and because they do not have many carbs, thus they are a great food to incorporate on a low carb diet. As well, you can do so many different things with eggs that you really can never get bored with them, so try eating eggs for breakfast in the morning. Low Carb Diet Example #2: Fresh Fruit We all know how good fresh fruit is for us, and yet surprisingly, few of us actually bother to eat enough of it. Try getting some bananas or strawberries and eat them with your eggs for breakfast, for instance; just remember that fruit contains sugar and so if you are going to consume fruit then you should make sure that you do so earlier in the day so that your body can rid itself of the sugar before you go to bed. Low Carb Diet Example #3: Nuts Nuts are a great food all around, and they are also fantastic because you can snack on them throughout the day, rather than resorting to chips or something of the like; almonds are especially healthy for you, and so you should try to incorporate even just a few nuts into your daily diet. Low Carb Diet Example #4: Salmon Salmon is another great low carb diet food, and the best way to eat salmon is to grill it. Try making a meal with salmon and a garden salad for instance, as this would be a perfect meal if you are on a low carb diet. Low Carb Diet Example #5: Fish Oil Tablets These are a type of supplement, and they are great to include in your daily diet if you are on a low carb diet; you can go to your local health foods store and pick these up.
