What They Teach You In Golf School

Golf school is where you got to learn how to play golf. That seems easy enough. So what do they teach you in golf school? They teach you how to properly grip the club and where your hands should be on the club when you are gripping it. They teach you the advantages of a soft grip and the horrors of a tight grip. They teach you how to slow down on your back swing and how to yell fore when you don’t slow down on your back swing and you send your drive rocketing at top speed into the group on the other fairway. They teach you how to keep your head down and how to follow through without knocking yourself out or dislocating your hip.

Golf Rules Keep Courses Pleasant

Golfers take their game very seriously, and the game is difficult. This means that the game is sometimes very upsetting to the serious golfers. Their tempers can flare, but the golf rules should keep them from disturbing other golfers. Golfers share marvelous courses with many other golfers during the course of the day. These courses remain beautiful because some of the golf rules that dictate how all golfers should take care of the courses. At any one time, there could be many golfers on one course. Some golf slower than others, and some hit their balls in strange ways. The rules keep everyone sharing the course civil to their fellow golfers so everyone enjoys their time on the course.

The Role of a Golf Pro May Vary by Course

At the majority of golf courses, the role of the golf pro is varied and may include offering instructions as well as running the course or the sports shop, as well as greeting guests. In many cases, the club’s golf pro may have been a money-winning amateur who lost their amateur status and is forbidden by golf’s rules to play in amateur tournaments. The title in no way indicates the person’s ability to play the game, but typically, they are above average players.
