Some Notable Features That A Set Junior golf clubs Must Have

Till as recently as in the sixties and seventies, the number of junior golf clubs available were few and there were also not many takers for them. It was normal for adult-sized golf clubs to be whittled down to make a set of junior golf clubs, which were mostly having a grip with little iron content and which had a head that was usually too heavy for a kid to swing easily. Thus, you would not be surprised to see kids hacking away at the golf ball much like an axe. However, even this disability was not enough to deter kids from enjoying a swing with such modified golf clubs.

A Great Many More Options Available Today

In the present times, parents are faced with a great many more options with regard to available junior golf clubs and it is possible to find a decent set at a reasonable price as well. As notable a golfer as Tiger Woods was always given golf clubs that were the right fit for this budding golfer by his father Earl Woods. A set of junior golf clubs that are either too long or too short would not be well suited for a junior to develop his or her game, and they would also promote bad habits in the junior golfer that would then be hard to rectify later on in life.

Perhaps the most important feature of junior golf clubs is their club lengths and it would not be right to start off juniors with junior golf clubs that are too long for them. The end result of giving the kids extra long clubs would be to force them into modifying their swings and a set of junior golf clubs would probably also last for just two to three seasons which should be taken into consideration before presenting your children with their junior golf clubs.

Most junior golf clubs are available for a decent price excepting of course those made by major golf brands and even Calloway that will cost a lot more than you may be prepared for. Before buying your kids their golf clubs, make sure that you get them proper clubs which also have the correct head weight, which are usually the light and also flexible graphite shafts that come with the proper club head size as well as weight.

The next feature that you should consider that must be present on the junior golf clubs is to have clubs with a proper grip and thin grips that are widely available should suffice for any budding golf junior. And, of course the last aspect that you would probably be paying special attention to regarding the junior golf clubs is the price that should not exceed one hundred dollars for a set that would suit kids aged three to five. A Calloway set may cost upwards of two hundred dollars and would suit kids aged nine through thirteen.

I was trying to teach my son to golf and picked up a spring tee from KovissAmerica.com. I went and tried it and was blown away. Good for kids, GREAT for adults.
