You actually hear your golf shot before you can see it. By the sound of the golf ball hitting your club, your shot is about 350 yards all the way down the center of the fairway. A short approach shot and then a putt and you have achieved your very first eagle! What’s next? What is next is actually a hole in one, of course. Here is where you roll your eyes, but don’t. A golf slice is actually a hit that might be both embarrassing and humiliating for the golfer. A slice is actually brought about any time there is a movement of the golf iron head. The head doesn’t hit the ball squarely but instead tilts just a bit sending the golf ball about 30 yards offline from the target fairway. That is both extreme and unintended. For the exact same issue that is much less extreme it’s called a fade. Slice tips might be useful for correcting this issue.
