There are a number of ways to qualify for the PGA Tour. Some players have successful amateur careers and get invited to be part of the tour. Some get involved in the US Open qualifying system that offers tour cards to any amateur that places in the top 10 of the US Open. Some get involved in any of the qualifying tours that operate as training grounds for future professionals.

While the beginnings of the game of golf in the United States was still running its course there was no real organization bringing all the players and rules together. PGA golf began as an organization in 1916, as a group put together by Rodman Wanamaker, a department store owner in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Since that time, PGA golf has grown to be synonymous with premium golf.

While many golfers spend considerably more time on the driving range with their drivers and fairway woods, there is a good chance the worst part of their game is the short game. Consider an average par 72 golf course will typically have four par 3 holes, on which the driver is not used. Throw in a couple doglegs that turn less than 175-yards from the tee and another couple of holes on which the driver stays in the bag. The Peltz golf school allows students to focus on their short game, resulting in lower scores.
