Reinvent Your Life: California Dreaming

People flock to the Golden State to escape, to breathe, to redefine their lives. Reinvention is the reoccurring Californian theme. There is perhaps no better representation of reinvention than the cities in and around the Monterey Bay. The city that give the Bay is name has bounced back from a recession during the last part of the 20th century to become an academic center for Central California. Since the collapse of is fisheries, the city is now host of academic centers and research facilities. The chief facilities are the Monterey Aquarium and the Marine Mammal Center.

The Powatami Festival: Starting Out Simple

It’s always a good idea to start out with a simple, memorable event than a large festival that will be harder to organize, even though the organizer may have had something grander in mind. Likewise, the Powatami Festival was small when it started in 1971, but has since grown into one of the bigger Western Indiana festivals.

Sweet Home Pasadena

Pasadena is one of the most well known cities in Southern California, whether for the annual Rose Bowl Parade and Rose Bowl, as the home of the Jet Propulsion Laboratory, it’s many cultural attractions or even the Beach Boys hit of the 1960′s.
