The Costa Blanca, located in Spain, is one of the most popular areas of travel. There are people who come from all over the world to see this city. It happens to be located on the Mediterranean Sea and is known for beautiful, white, sandy beaches. You will find that the most popular time to travel is in the summertime, however, it is beautiful all year around, and it has some of the best climate temperatures all year long.

When it comes to planning your trip, you will want to consider the other cities. It is nice to travel from city to city. Torrevieja, Benidorm, and Alicante all have a great night life, many theme parks, and history can be found throughout this region. However, don’t forget that the beaches are a must-go. There are also other small towns like Denia and Altea that will offer you a quiet place to relax and enjoy the serenity. You will want to consider all of the things that are available to you when you begin to choose your destination and plan your trip to Spain.

Most people who are traveling to this area of Spain will arrive at the Alicante airport. You will find that this is one of the largest airports in the country and you will also find that there are many discounts on airline tickets to Alicante, since it is such a popular choice. You will find that there are many deals that you will be able to choice from when it comes to traveling for vacation purposes. Keep in mind that the summertime is one of the most popular times to travel to the area, next to spring.

You will want to get prepared, by exchanging some of your money. You will also find that airlines don’t offer any snacks and you will need to continuously check your bags when it comes to a layover. You will not be able to find a direct flight to this area, so you may have to connect in many places. You will find that once you arrive to Spain and the Costa Blanca area, you will need to have some means of travel. That means that a rental car is needed.

You can’t allow yourself to just rely on public transportation, because you will miss a lot of scenery and beautiful hot spots because you have to wait for a bus. You will also find that there is a lot of time wasted when you use the local bus system. Course, you can use the train system when it comes to traveling from city to city, because you will be able to see all the beauty and not waste a lot of time going from place to place. You will also find that the larger cities do offer public transportation to the other local cities, but you will waste more time on a bus then if you were to just rent a car.

Maybe more than any other place, Rome’s amazing fountains have a history that is as rich and ancient as Rome itself. There are examples of Fountains that reflect the artistic styles as far back as the first century AD mixed in with wonderful Renaissance fountains and modern ones as well.

Many cities have fountains but their purpose is strictly ornamental or utilitarian. But Rome differs because any public water display had to also become a unique and treasured work of art in the Eternal city. In fact, not only does Rome “have” great art, the city itself “is” great art.

While the Trevi fountain is unquestionably the one that is most well known, it is far from being the only fountain that calls to visitors to enjoy the artistic merit on display.

An outstanding example of fountain artistry is the Fountain of Triton otherwise known as Fontana del Tritone. This fountain is a classic example of Baroque artwork as it was expressed at the hands of the master artist Bernini in 1642. The vision of a mighty Merman (the masculine form of a mermaid) sitting on a huge clamshell and being served by dancing dolphins is one that is often used in advertisements and movies as typical Roman setting.

The artist Bernini dominates the fountain works in Rome and his very first in the series is near the Spanish Steps. This fountain is called the Barcaccia and the sculpture of a sunken sea vessel set the tone for the use of the Baroque style of art in outdoor sculpture on the streets of Rome.

The sea creature theme that Bernini utilizes so well in his fountains continues in the Fountain of the Moor, otherwise known as Fontana del Moro. This is a great fountain to sit down and enjoy with a beverage as you explore the Piazza Navona. Here, we see the mighty god of the sea Neptune being attended to by four Tritons who spew water for the fountain as happy citizens of the sea playfully interact below.

Not far from the Fountain of the Moor is the Fountain of Neptune which uses many of the same themes but expresses them in an up to date style.

A fountain that is unique because it was designed not by Bernini but by Francesco Bizzaccheri, is the Fontana dei Tritoni, although the influence of Bernini is clear. You can find this delightful artwork between the Temple of Vesta and the Temple of Male Fortune. The sculpture that was made in 1715 shows two mighty Tritons as they stoop on a gathering of rocks and hold a basin. The fountain’s waters flow out of that basin.

Many would argue well that the classic example of the artistry of Roman fountains is found at the Fontana di Trevi, otherwise known as the Trevi Fountain. This is one of the oldest fountains in Rome as it dates back to the first century. But it was re-built under the authority of Pope Clement XII in 1751.

The Trevi Fountain is the largest fountain in Rome at 85 feet high and 65 feet wide and its size is very much part of why it is so beautiful. You can find this not-to-be missed fountain behind the Palace of the Dukes of Poli. Here we again get to see Neptune but this time riding in a chariot made of a clamshell being drawn by two mighty horses. Tritons again are at the bidding of their master, as are the gods of Health and Wealth who are in attendance.

The well known tradition of throwing three coins into the Trevi Fountain is popular and frequently observed because the mythology of the fountain tells us that if you contribute your coins, the gods will bless you with a return to Rome one day. Wisely, Rome takes advantage of the international love of this tradition and it harvests the coins to help local charities. Never let it be said that Romans don’t know how to combine love of tradition and art with a flare for good marketing.

The Trevi Fountain is said to have been designed by Nicola Salvi, not Bernini as you might suspect. Nonetheless, the influence of Bernini is so evident that perhaps it was a joint project. The water for the fountain comes from the Aqua Vergine and there is a legend that goes with that name. The legend is that a virgin drew water from that aqueduct to offer to tired and thirsty Roman soldiers.

To be sure you will come home from Rome with plenty of great stories to tell as well as wonderful photographs, make sure you include at least a few of the wonderful Roman fountains in your sightseeing. But if you see one or two of these delightful examples of outdoor Roman fountain art, you will want to see many more.

Planning for any vacation can be a tedious task. Planning a vacation centered on golf in Las Vegas can be even more daunting. Those who plan to spend time and money on a Vegas golf vacation will have to find answers to certain questions, such as which courses are accessible and whether or not any of those courses coincide with the one an avid golfer would actually want to play.

The unique quality of a Las Vegas golf vacation stems from two things. One, it is to be a getaway built around the game of golf, and two, it is to be in Las Vegas, one of the most popular travel destinations in the world. By keeping in mind that the main event, so to speak, of this vacation is to be playing golf, you neednat become too overwhelmed with all the other aspects of a avacation.a Taking the time to plan ahead to include proper golfing activities as well as comfortable lodging and other ain-betweena activities will save you money and headache later on during the trip itself.

The hassle of lugging oneas golf clubs to an airplane or a car is no small task itself. Checking in clubs on an airplane can incur extra fees. If a vacation is to include air travel, then one should look for one of the many available golf getaway packages that has an agreement in place where fees are waived or reduced.

Another important aspect is selecting a place to stay in Vegas. An obvious choice might be a hotel that is separate and not affiliated with a particular golf course. Staying at such a place will cost you less initially, as the rates will be much lower than those at a golf-related lodging. If you do not stay at one of the golf hotels, however, you may find that you are not privy to certain services normally available to resort patrons, such as priority access to the golf courses themselves, to golf vehicles and complimentary refreshments and drinks.

A couple of other problems may arise if one chooses to stay at hotels outside of golf venues and resorts. First, a golfer may not be allowed to play at a course if he is not staying in the affiliated hotel. Second, the course fees may be much higher for someone not staying at the golf resort itself, thus eliminating whatever savings might have been accumulated by picking separate lodging. Proper research ahead of time can save a golf enthusiast from disappointment and unnecessary expenses when making plans for a golf vacation in Las Vegas.

Being that you will be in Las Vegas, you should not forget that there will be many, many other activities available to you which are not related to golf. Even for the most avid golf enthusiast, it might be wise to plan for or leave some time and energy for doing some of these activities. Having an idea ahead of time that you will participate in off-course activities in Vegas will add some interest and extra variety to your vacation as a whole.

As Vegas is also a great entertainment destination, golf vacation packages often include tickets to famous performances, day trips to the outside natural landmarks around the region, and even bonuses like extra rounds of golf at off peak hours to those who stay away from the tables. While it may cut into the time you feel that you have free on the trip and can make your vacation seem like it’s too tight to an itinerary, the distractions can be good for your rest and relaxation. Plus, keeping your money off of the tables can often help you leave with a heavier wallet than you thought.

That wonderful and awesome golf getaway to Las Vegas is just around the corner for you. If you play your cards right and take the time to plan ahead, you will not be disappointed and will have nothing better to do than relax and have fun at one of the many golf courses and resorts in Vegas.

Outdoor adventure travel services are becoming increasingly attractive to those travelers seeking adventure beyond what standard travel can provide. Such services are a reliable source of information and assistance for adventurists. Matching travelers’ intrigue and excitement of exploring the jungle or wilderness, for instance, with a destination can be far more challenging than arranging for typical vacations to a beach resort or cabin retreat.

Outdoor adventure travel services open the door to many opportunities and activities for the adventure-seeking traveler. The good news is that you should have no problem finding these services near you, and you may be surprised to learn that most packages are reasonably priced and fairly affordable. An outdoor adventure travel provider can also provide useful information if you do not know where the best opportunities for adventure are or, at least, some destinations for adventure you would never have thought of on your own.

The Internet is another great source of information to explore where you can find many websites listing outdoor adventure travel service providers. Since adventure travel does not cost as much as you may think, you can enjoy the benefits of many travel specials or deals these providers may offer. You can also learn useful tips for outdoor adventure travel that will be help regardless of where you travel to help you get the most from your adventure.

There are so many activities from which you could choose when it comes to outdoor adventure travels. If you are not sure what you want to do, or just can’t decide, outdoor adventure travel service providers can help you narrow it down whether by activity, budget, interest or geographic location. Good service providers will lead you to find exotic overseas locations or even interesting, not-yet discovered places nearby. You can also receive some good information regarding safety while on adventure travels which is even more important than in conventional traveling because some activities and locations can actually cause harm if you do not know how to protect yourself from it.

Another option the outdoor adventure travel service may suggest is to travel with a group. There are adventure travel groups available which can ensure safety since there will be more travelers wherever the adventuring leads. A good tip to also keep in mind is to drink bottled whatever no matter what place you choose from hiking in Colorado or taking the train from Alicante to Madrid. This way you can be sure you are drinking only clean water, as clean water is not available everywhere and, actually, rarely, on these trips.

These tips can help ensure your outdoor adventure is safe, enjoyable and everything you anticipated. Be sure to contact an outdoor adventure travel service provider and see where your next adventure could take you!

Mention a trip to France and Paris is the first thing that comes to mind for most people. Indeed, it is difficult to think of another city in the world that out does the cuisine, history and culture of Paris. What is really fascinating, however, is the fact Paris is really is a sum of its parts.

We have all experienced Paris in books, movies or other media. If you want to see that image of Paris, one neighborhood is the place to go. Montmartre sits below the Sacre Coeur Basilica and is Parisian through and through.

While most tourists can do without seeing the Eiffel Tower (and paying to visit each level) missing Montmartre would be a lot like missing the Coliseum when visiting Rome. One last windmill left upon the infamous hill seems to tell of a time long past while hinting at the beginnings of a new future.

A quick word of caution. Montmartre has been tamed a bit for the tourists, but it is still a place with plenty of character. Watch the street artists and your wallet at the same time. Both are likely to get plenty of attention.

With great artists such as Dali, Picasso, van Gogh and Monet having called the area home, there is a serious business these days of trying to sell every tourist junk trinkets to memorialize the times of those people. Try to look past it.

Some say that the section called Montmartre is perfect until you exit the famous hill. Others say that the true part of Paris cannot be seen unless you descend from the mountain. No matter what is said individually, there is a collective scream around the globe that adores this Parisian culture clash.

Monet. Picasso. van Gogh. When you walk the streets of Montmartre, you are walking through hallowed ground. Do not let the riff raff distract you from that fact. Get off the main paths and consider what is really around you.

This is an area that is so powerful, you cannot help but feel the neighborhood soak into your clothes. The smell definitely might! Do not mistakenly attend the Moulin Rouge and think that is all there is. The entire area is the attraction.

Life is unfortunately often about routines and the same old thing day in and day out. Montmartre is anything but this. The place is dirty, over the top and so full of culture and characters, you will just be smiling and shaking your head. Welcome to Paris!

Planning for adventure travel is not a simple as you might wish. You really need to take some extra time to sort out all that’s involved, and the article that follows should help you do just that.

Adventure Travel Requires Extra Planning

You know you want to go on an adventure travel trip, but before you select the tour you will be taking, there are some things you need to know about yourself, and the kind of travel you are considering. First you need to know that there is some risk involved in this kind of travel. Often you will be going off the beaten path and may be far from help, if you need it. This is something that does not sit well with some people. You need to know how to take care of your safety, and about the importance of teamwork since a number of you will be working together on this trip. You also need to know what you’re up for, before you go.

The first thing to do is an honest bodily assessment. How much are you really up to doing when it comes to physical activity on this trip. A lot of people talk big and think they can take on the world, but they may not make it well through a real adventure travel tour. You can see many new places and experience adventure travel with varying levels of physical activity. So, you need to decide what you do and don’t want to do. Do you want to be in a situation where you may have to hike 5 miles or more? How about some rock climbing or kayaking? These are all the kinds of things you have to consider as you decide which adventure travel trip to take.

Have you really considered how much you want to pack into your trip? Do you want to try to see and do everything in the region you are visiting, maybe visiting numerous countries over a few days or would you prefer a more leisurely pace of taking in things as you travel.

Take your budget into account. We do not all have endless pocketbooks that we can pull money from for our trips, so there is a budget you need to think about. When you are looking at your trip options, think of your budget and remember to add in any costs that are not included in the trip package itself, such as getting to the starting destination, or items you will need to take with you on the trip. You do not want to cause yourself stress about the trip you are going to take to relax.

As you consider tour operators for your adventure travel trip, make sure to talk to them about their terms and conditions for the trip. You should ask them to give you a written copy of those terms before you sign anything. If you are looking through a number of companies, you may be able to get them to mail their policies to you, so you can look over them as you narrow down your options.

You also need to make sure you know what their refund policy is. While you are planning on going on the trip, something could come up that keeps you from being able to once the time comes.

Air travelers who are on a budget can save big travel dollars by knowing what the peak air travel season is, and avoiding it! Sometimes the peak air travel season for a particular destination is easy to figure out. As you might expect, the peak air travel season to Hawaii, Bermuda, Arizona, Las Vegas, the Caribbean and other warm-weather vacation and resort destinations is during winter months. The most expensive Airfare to Hawaii, for instance, is in December, January and February.

At other destinations’ peak air travel seasons varies, This is hugely Dependant on location. You will find nearly all are driven by local climate. Speaking in general, when it is uncomfortable at your destination, you will get it cheaper. So going to Europe during the winter will be a bargain, as will a trip to Italy, Arizona or Las Vegas in Summer.

Holidays, Festivals Events And Conventions

Sometimes normal thinking is not right because when it comes to air travel there is sometimes another factor. Festivals and celebrations happening at that time also determine when a destination’s peak travel season is. For Example Mardi Gras in New Orleans is a demonstration of this phenomenon. You will pay a premium if you are visiting the city during this celebration.

New Year’s Eve in Las Vegas is one of the most highest priced times of all to travel, because of its double-hit. It Beautiful warm weather destination during opposing winter and a reputation for throwing one of the best New Year’s Eve parties on the planet. The actual off peak air travel season to Vegas is August, when everything drops as temperatures soar.

Sporting events that create a peak air travel season include major PGA golf tournaments, like The Masters, and The PGA Championship. Other events include the Superbowl, NCAA playoffs, NBA playoffs and Major League Baseball’s World Series in October.

So keep on top of these events and in your destination city. Another example, is that you will be glad to steer clear of Denver during the Democratic Convention. The Shoe and Magic Show are dates to avoid Las Vegas, because these conventions have a huge effect on peak air travel.

Flying Out of Season

all of the above information will give you an advantage by flying during the off-season. You have a shorter wait and the planes aren’t as crowded, so this means you are more likely getting to your destination on schedule and in Budget.

When searching for the perfect location for your next outdoor vacation adventure, look to the North Carolina Outer Banks to fill your plate with beach excursions, wildlife parks, and historical charm that simply cannot be missed. Whether you are drawn in by the miles of pristine, sandy beaches that line the coastline or the numerous trails that take visitors through lush vegetation in search of gorgeous bird species, you will experience the adventure of a lifetime when you stay in a vacation rental in the area of your choice.

The Outer Banks of North Carolina is a popular destination for families; each year brings thousands of visitors to the thin strip of coast for weeks of sun, fun, and activity. While many motels are seen along Currituck and Dare counties, unless you make reservations well in advance chances are you will see only “No Vacancy” signs as you drive. The best alternative, especially for an extended stay, is to rent a home on the beach.

With so many miles of coastline, most individuals want to stay near the shore so they can not only participate in water activities but also enjoy the breathtaking views of the water. You can find numerous waterfront homes in places such as Corolla, Duck, and Kill Devil Hills where all you have to do for a day of fun and excitement is walk down the back steps and stroll over to the beach that sits directly behind your home rental. Simply pack up your beach supplies and head out for the ocean, but don’t worry in case you forget anything since all of your items are housed just a short walk away.

Many vacation rentals here come with outdoor grills, so that guest may enjoy a sunset cookout rather than wait in long lines at area restaurants. Nearby grocery stores offer the essentials, but for a classy dining experience one may also visit Bacchus Wine and Cheese in Currituck or the Knotts Island Market for gourmet items. Frog Island Seafood Company sells the best of the Chesapeake Bay, so families can enjoy an old fashioned fish fry or crab boil on the deck of their vacation home.

For a different view, try heading south. You’ll still have all the opportunities of the beach and access to museums and notable sights if you reserve a cottage in Kill Devil Hills or Nag’s Head. There are large properties here as well, but if you’re seeking something more modest in terms of price or size, you won’t be disappointed.

A two bedroom might be a perfect fit for a small group of travelers, and a cottage stocked with everything from a hairdryer to extra towels will make packing less of a chore. Add close proximity to prime bird-watching spots or hang gliding take-off points, and this vacation will be virtually stress and traffic-free.

There’s no better way to make a holiday special than a boat charter. If it goes well it can be a magical day out but it also can be a disaster so here’s some basic tips to help make your day at sea fantastic.

“Bareboat” mean that there’s no crew so if you have chartered bareboat and you can’t sail you aint going anywhere. Not unless you qualify and get the necessary papers yourself. Always check the boat comes with a skipper and crew. The charter company can usually organise you one if it doesn’t. In some countries legally they may not be able to supply you with one.

If you have a power boat then you need to know you will normally be charged a fuel surcharge. In the current climate this will be a considerable amount even for day charter.

The effects of the sun are up to three times as powerful at sea as on land. Make sure you take a hat and some sun block. The ladies might be interested in the fact you can tan three times the speed at sea.

If you are going to have a swim off the boat it’s a good idea to have a snorkel and goggles. Always check for jelly fish before diving in…and sharks if applicable….they tend to be quite bitey.

When the weather is bad you will be required to wear a life jacket, especially if you can’t swim. It’s advisable for children to wear them all the times. Some boats will not be suitable for really young children. Always take the skippers advice and listen to his safety speech at the start of the journey.

If you are lunching ashore it’s often a good idea to invite the skipper along. he might have some great sea stories to share with you. It’s normal practice to tip the skipper at the end of the trip.

That’s all you need to know for now have fun and if it all goes well you should have a smashing day!
