Nesting Season for Turtles at Holmes Beach
Environmentally aware people along with sea life buffs will be flocking to Holmes Beach, Florida this summer in time for the turtle nesting season. During these months, vacationers will see turtles ambling to the shore to make their nests on the beach. This is the egg laying season for this sea creature and an amazing and unique possibility to catch sight of these creatures in great numbers. In addition to turtles, you may even discover skimmers’ nests on the beachside. Based on a report in The Islander, volunteers from nearby communities are pitching in to make sure that visitors on the beach understand the importance of leaving the nests untouched. They are talking to the travelers and teaching them about the various types of wildlife that consider the beach their home.
