California White Water Rafting Tips

Adventure trips are always a good sense of leisure and a good way to build relationships with those that go on it with you. However, if you’re going on an adventure trip that is not quite like others then you should always make sure that you go with a company that knows what it is doing and keep in mind a few things to make it a memorable experience.

Finding the right company to plan your trip with is of utmost importance. Check that the rafting company you choose has the proper licenses and that all their employees are professionals. Don’t forget to look into what equipment and safety gear will be provided as well.

If you know where to then things will be just at your level; you don’t want to end up in rapids that are way too hard for you that it will only scare you. If this is something that you have tried before or you ate a seasoned rafter then it would also be boring to go on something too easy.

Rivers come in different classes for white water rafting. The most basic will belong to class 1 and 2 where which are the easiest; most rivers under these classes will have very small rough areas and need no maneuvering or only basic paddling skills. This can be ideal for families since it is safe.

With the right paddling skills you can take rivers that have more waves and even have drops in them. These types of rivers belong to classes 3 and 4. These will require the basic paddling skills. Those who have a lot of experience may try out class 5 rivers which will need a lot of maneuvering skills.

California can be an ideal place for White Water Rafting. It doesn’t matter if you’re new to this or have tried it out before. The best rivers to raft on are South Fork American River, the Kaweah River and the Tuolumne River. You won’t need to worry about anything, there’s something for everybody.

The South Fork American River belongs with three other rivers but is the most boated. Not only will you enjoy a rafting trip but beautiful scenery as well. Both the Tuolumne and Kaweah River belong to higher classes (3 and 4) which will give you an exciting ride and scenic views as well.

Don’t forget to bring along the right gear with you when you go on your rafting trip. Since you will be under the sun a lot, sun block and moisturizer are essentials. Don’t forget to pack clothes that are light weight and will dry easily since you will be getting wet even if you aren’t exactly in the water.
