Whitewater Rafting In Nova Scotia: Something New!

If you have been rafting for a while in the United States and you think you know it all about rafting, you may be in for a surprise with Nova Scotia rafting! You see on the Canadian rivers of Nova Scotia not only do you have the ordinary rapids but you also have tied waves to contend with. Waves of up to 16 feet have been known to form.

Rafting just doesn’t get much better than in Nova Scotia. If you can manage to manoeuvre yourself on top of Nova Scotia tidal waves the amount of exhilaration you can feel is unimaginable. From the time you start rafting to the time you have finished sometimes the river water level can rise an additional 30 feet!

These tidal waves really do add to the overall excitement you can obtain from white water rafting. It is important to note though that some of these rivers or sections of them are too dangerous for children and for people who have not had the appropriate training and experience.

It goes without saying that there are going to be a range of different rapids that requires less or more experience. Some will be okay for most beginners whereas others will not.

You need not worry about not being able to find gentle enough rapids for your enjoyment and that of your family, you will find that there are already a whole range of different rafting trips in Nova Scotia prearranged for different skill levels.

Other more aggressive rapids are available for the novice rafter but require you to be at least 12 years of age. These rapids provide a lot of white water action as well as provide a scenic ride.

The truth is Nova Scotia rafting isn’t just for those more casual rafters, in fact Nova Scotia rafting can really bring something new to the table for the seasoned rafter. Rafting on tidal waves in Nova Scotia is something new, something that no seasoned rafter would have found in the US, so if you’re looking for something more, Nova Scotia is the place to go.
